Nick Herting has been installing floors for more than ten years — hardwood, laminate, vinyl plank, rubber and VCT — in everything from older McHenry County homes to busy commercial buildings. Along the way he figured out something a lot of contractors never do: the floor is only half the job. The other half is what it's like to have someone working in your house.
So Nick shows up when he says he will. He tells you what he's doing and why, in plain English, before he starts — and if he finds something under the old floor you should know about, you hear it from him that day, not on the invoice. He keeps the work area picked up, keeps the dust down, and when he pulls out at the end of the day, your home is still a home.
